Work performed in the courtyard of a bar in the neighborhood of Sants in Barcelona. In this work, the client told us he wanted a sheltered area where its cold in winter could be comfortably smoking customers. The yard already had an awning with retractable arms, which we couple two vertical awnings same socket, plus another slide to the bottom of the enclosure. Awnings were composed of plastic canvas where large windows were made with transparent canvas to gain visibility in daylight and in the lower part of some flaps were installed to prevent air from entering the soil. Thus, the awning can be fully collected , starting with the two vertical awnings, which are collected in the base of the upper canopy, and then while he ‘s sliding sheet of the final part. The existing canopy was reinforced to prevent possible future problems. With this solution the client declined to a much greater outlay, not having to change the existing awning. You can automate this and other types of awnings, with or without remote control, synchronized or not among them, with wind and light sensors, in order to improve our quality of life.
