Work done on a penthouse located in the district of Barcelona Guinardó. It consisted of the replacement of an old enclosure by other more efficient, waterproof and insulated both thermally and acoustically. We use materials like steel roof tile type polyurethane foam inside, aluminum S-76 of the RPT series with thermal break, and glasses camera with treatment, the type Guardian Sun. After removing the old enclosure, we proceeded to the rise of new materials. We use an elevator to go up the front 10 stories tall, thus making the material available dimensions and weights that climbed up the ladder would not have been possible. In the accompanying video we can better appreciate the assembly sequence. It is very important to use quality materials in these types of enclosures, since each euro invested in insulation will be quickly amortized over time, as it is very exposed to heat and cold, can achieve large energy savings plus improving the quality of life. As we can see in the pictures, the structure was made of white lacquered finish, with sliding RPT series S-76, which offers many advantages to the conventional slider. Glass composing this structure was a 4/12/4 Guardian Sun, about 4 times more efficient than the conventional single glass or 2 times more than the standard glass chamber. The joints were sealed with injected polyurethane foam, which is equivalent to 10 centimeters in the same thermal insulation wall 50 inches conventional billet. Later this foam was covered with the same metal finish, and sealed with silicone high-end neutral. The steel roof tile type, the peak with the same foam and then paint it with asphalt tile color sealed. This work was installed and capped a week of work, counting the interior shots and leveling the ground prior to installation of the enclosure, and did not involve any extra added difficulty that we had not previously anticipated.
