Why choose aluminium as a railing material?
The choice was simple because of all that this great material offers us, it is very resistant, as it falls into the category of “non-ferrous” it does not rust, making it a completely safe material for any type of requirement such as the installation of exterior railings as it will not require any type of maintenance and with a lifetime durability.
In addition, aluminium is a sustainable material as it is 100% recyclable in an unlimited way and has an infinite life cycle.
For this reason, from the beginning of our foundation, at PONSICO we always knew that we had to choose aluminium from the ALUGOM Group, as they have more than 50 years of experience, as the material to carry out our work.
Work carried out
Manufacture and installation of 100% aluminium handrails in textured RAL 7022 colour for public works for social rental in Edifici Gregal in Badalona. Made with stainless steel screws and studs anchored to the wall with chemical anchors. We have worked hard for 2 months to install 12,000 kg of aluminium, in 984 square metres of railing and 671 linear metres.
It is an exclusive design for this work, tested on a test bench in compliance with current regulations. The Qualicoat guarantee certifies the quality of the lacquering as in all our products, and the PONSICO guarantee covers the manufacture and installation.
Edifici Gregal is 80 affordable social rental housing units on a 75-year leasehold right located on Carrer Gregal in Badalona. It is part of a city project that links the residential neighbourhoods of Montigalà and Bufalà in the city of Badalona, located very close to the Montigalà Shopping Centre.
Resistance test
From the beginning of the manufacture of the handrails, until the installation is carried out, our products are treated with extreme care as far as safety is concerned.
This endurance test required our aluminium railing to withstand a weight of 80kg, and as you can see, it passed the test without any problems.
